Old Farmhouse Renovation (1)

Original house was built in 1927. In 1964 the owners added additional rooms to the house and upgraded exterior to the stone exterior seen today. Stones used on outside of house was collected by family on Sunday trips in their station wagon.

All in all, the house is structurally sound and has weathered many storms (literally). We will be renovating the old hardwood floors, adding central cooling/heating (bet  the house never saw this coming!), updating plumbing, electrics and septic system – dry walling will be on a as needed basis. We will also be putting in a new well (borehole) which will serve both homes. The well will feed a large tank which will then be pumped to each house.

BTW, the small shed you see to the left of the house was the shed the original owners lived in while they maintained the farm and built the farmhouse – how spoiled we have become!
